Here's the thing...my parents didn't have a good experience when purchasing their first home after immigrating to Canada. I remember the long-term effects that the "deal" had on my family because we weren't protected as buyers. There were so many surprises after we closed on the house. My parents felt stuck, we felt taken advantage of, and the house required a lot of money that my parents just didn't have at the time - we just didn't know any better.
This is why real estate shouldn't just be about closing on transactions. It's also about guiding and advising people through a decision that's going to affect their future. This shouldn't be taken so lightly. It's also about building long-lasting relationships, becoming a part of a community, and feeling incredibly grateful knowing that you've made the right decision for you (and your family) to begin a new chapter of your lives.
